Project Description:

SAP BTP Operations Engineer to lead the deployment, testing, and operational management of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) across our organization. This role is pivotal in establishing governance frameworks, optimizing cloud environments, and driving automation and monitoring strategies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing a Center of Excellence (CoE) for SAP BTP operations and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the full lifecycle of SAP BTP environments, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, release management, and decommissioning.

- Develop and implement scalable processes for environment provisioning, monitoring, cost optimization, security compliance, and continuous improvement.

- Coordinate deployment, testing, integration, and change management activities across SAP BTP landscapes.

- Act as a subject matter expert, advising teams on best practices for SAP BTP operations, governance, and security.

- Lead the design and enforcement of governance frameworks, including:

- Restructuring subaccount models to align with organizational hierarchy for better cost and resource management.

- Defining internal roles and responsibilities for SAP BTP operations.

- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure platform health and performance.

- Define and apply architecture principles for High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).

- Support security compliance, audit readiness, and incident response processes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to continuously improve BTP operational models.

- Promote knowledge sharing, mentoring, and effective communication across stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in SAP BTP operations, administration, and governance.

- Strong understanding of cloud lifecycle management, automation, and monitoring tools.

- Experience managing multi-tenant SAP BTP environments and subaccount structures.

- Familiarity with role-based access control and aligning operational models with organizational structures.

- Solid knowledge of SAP BTP architecture, including HA/DR strategies.

- Experience in cloud cost management and financial tracking.

- Understanding of security compliance frameworks, audit processes, and incident management.

- Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements.

Preferred Skills:

- Hands-on experience with SAP cloud technologies such as Cloud Connector, RISE with SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Build Process Automation.

- Exposure to DevOps methodologies and tools for cloud operations.

- Experience in establishing Centers of Excellence (CoE) for cloud platforms.

- Background in SAP Basis or cloud operations engineering.

- Familiarity with SaaS multi-tenant security fundamentals.
